Sharing pupil data with White Rose Education

We understand how important it is to know how your pupils’ data is being used and protected. This article explains what happens when your school shares pupil data with White Rose Education for use with Infinity and/or the Assessment Tracker, including how we process and protect that data.

If your school already shares pupil data with us for Infinity, you won’t need to provide the same information again to use the Assessment Tracker. If you subscribe to Infant or Primary Maths and choose to use the Assessment Tracker, the pupil data you already share with us will be available in the Pupils tab.

Sharing pupil data through Wonde

You can securely share pupil data with White Rose Education through Wonde, whether you’re setting up pupil data sharing with us for the first time or already have a connection in place.

If you already share pupil data with us through Wonde, there’s nothing you need to change. The permissions you have already set up will remain the same, including which permissions are required and which are optional.

If you’re setting up pupil data sharing with us for the first time, you’ll be able to see which permissions are required and which are optional as part of the setup process. This means you remain in control of the data your school chooses to share with us.

For more information about how your data is kept secure and how it is used and protected, please see Wonde’s Security and Privacy policy and White Rose Education’s Privacy Policy.

Sharing pupil data using an Excel upload

You can also share pupil data with White Rose Education using our Excel upload template.

If you already use the Excel upload, you may notice some new fields in the latest version of the template. The Unique Pupil Number (UPN) is the only new required field. All other new fields are optional, so you can choose whether to provide this additional information.

If you’re sharing pupil data with us by Excel for the first time, the template will clearly show which information is required and which is optional.

Providing the optional information can help support more meaningful and effective data insights for your school. However, it’s your choice whether to provide it, helping you remain in control of the pupil data you share with us.

For more information about how White Rose Education uses and protects the pupil data you share with us, please see our Privacy Policy .

How we use assessment data and User Generated Content

As pupils use our products, we collect assessment data and User Generated Content (UGC), such as assessment results and scores, and pupils’ activity within Infinity including answers and inputs.

Pupil-level information is only visible to authorised users within your membership group. Where we use assessment data or UGC more widely for analysis, research or to improve our products and resources, it is anonymised so that individual pupils cannot be identified.

How we protect your data

Keeping your school’s and pupils’ data safe is extremely important to us. White Rose Education has a range of measures in place to protect the information you share with us and to ensure it is handled securely and responsibly.

White Rose Education is ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certified and holds Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation. These recognised standards support our approach to information security, privacy and data protection, and help us continually review and improve the way we manage and protect your data.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard the data entrusted to us, including controls around who can access it and how it is stored, transferred and managed.

You can find more detailed information about how we collect, use and protect pupil data in our Privacy Policy.
