What is the Package Builder?
The Package Builder is a new tool we've developed to simplify how you subscribe to and renew our premium resources. It lets you mix and match resources to create a tailored subscription package suited for your needs.
Whether you're an educator seeking diverse teaching materials with supporting CPD, or a parent looking to supplement your children’s learning, our package builder ensures that you get exactly what you need.
We've also built some popular bundles, designed to give you the best value and make teaching easier. For example, the Primary Enhanced includes Primary Science, Primary Maths, Infinity Core, and On-demand CPD materials—everything you need to create a great learning experience for both teachers and students.
This article will walk you through how to use this new tool to either create a new subscription with White Rose, or to amend your existing subscription by supplementing additional products.

How to create a new subscription
If you're a newcomer to White Rose's premium resources and are interested in exploring subscription options, or you're just curious about the pricing of our various bundles, follow the step-by-step guide below to get started:
Steps to use the Package Builder as a new customer:
- Head to our homepage.
- In the top-right corner of your screen, click on the 'Subscribe' button.
- Select whether you are buying for a School or as an Individual.
- If buying for an individual, proceed to step 6.
- If buying for a school, use the 'Number of teachers' buttons at the top of the Package Builder to select the total number of users you would like to be able to access your account.
- Create your personalised package by selecting the product cards displayed.
- Refer to the bar at the bottom of your screen to see:
- The number of products currently selected in your package.
- The current price for 12 months access to the products you've selected including our built-in discounts. - Select 'SEE PRICE BREAKDOWN' to see the individual price for each of the products you've selected and any discounts that have been applied.
- If you'd like to go ahead with purchasing the package you've built, select the 'CHECKOUT' button in the bottom right of your screen to proceed.
The number of teachers you select in the Package Builder is the total number of teachers who need access to our content.
For example, if you want 7 teachers to access our Primary Maths resources and 5 to access our Primary Science resources, choose the 11 to 20 option.
How to renew an existing subscription or package
Whether you have one subscription or more we are delighted that you would like to continue with your White Rose Education resources for a further 12 months.
Here's how to renew your subscription(s) if you wish to renew all the subscriptions you have currently.
Please make sure that you are logged into the website as a member of the group you are renewing for before you place your order, otherwise those who have access currently may not automatically be able to access the subscriptions you purchase.
You can check this on the Package builder page. At the top you will be shown the name of the group you are editing the membership of. Ensure the group name matches the group you wish to purchase for.
Here are the steps to follow to renew exactly the same subscriptions you had last year:
1. Once logged in to your account you will be brought to your 'My Account' area. You can also access this by clicking on the 'My Account' icon in the top right of the screen.
2. Select ‘Orders'; in the 'Subscriptions' tab any current subscriptions will be shown, along with expired memberships.
3. Select 'Renew' against any current subscriptions to be taken to the Package builder.
4. In the Package builder, if your current subscriptions have not yet expired, the 'Number of teachers' will be pre-selected to the subscription level purchased previously. If this is no longer accurate for the number of users please get in touch with our customer care team before renewing.
5. Current subscriptions, which have not yet expired, will be greyed out with checkmarks against them.
6. At the bottom of the Package builder screen you can see:
- The number of products currently selected in your package
- The current price for 12 months access to the products you've selected including any built-in discounts
7. Select 'SEE PRICE BREAKDOWN' to see:
- The individual price for each of the products you've selected
- Any discounts that have been applied
- Any credit that has been applied for the days you have left on your current subscriptions (more information in Understanding how credit works section)
8. To proceed with renewing your subscription(s), select the 'CHECKOUT' button.
How to add a new subscription to an existing package
If you're a member of an existing school subscription with White Rose, or you currently hold an individual subscription, the Package Builder offers you the option to add a new element to your your live subscription without any inconvenience.
To keep things simple for you, our package builder will align the dates of your current subscriptions to your new subscription so that you will only have to renew once.
If you wish to purchase a new subscription but don’t want to align the dates of your other subscriptions please see the instructions for how to remove a subscription from your package.
This will allow you to remove your current subscriptions from your basket so that they are not aligned by your new order.
Steps to add a new subscription and align your current package:
- Head to our homepage.
- In the top-right corner of your screen, click the button to 'Log in', and enter your account credentials. You will then be brought to your 'My Account' area.
- If you are a member of multiple subscriptions, you will be presented with a pop-up entitled 'Account Switcher'. Simply select the account you would like to view and/or update to proceed.
- Select ‘Orders'; in the 'Subscriptions' tab any current subscriptions will be shown, along with expired memberships.
- Select 'RENEW' against any current subscription to be taken to the Package Builder.
- In the Package Builder you should be able to see the following:
- If editing a school subscription, the name of the subscription for your chosen account
- The existing products you subscribe to should be greyed out with checkmarks against them - Proceed with adding any additional products you would like to your subscription by selecting the product cards displayed.
- At the bottom of the screen will be:
- The number of products currently selected in your package.
- The current price for 12 months access to the products you've selected including our built-in discounts.
- Select 'SEE PRICE BREAKDOWN' to see:
- The individual price for each of the products you've selected
- Any discounts that have been applied
- Any credit that has been applied for the days you have left on your current subscriptions (more information in Understanding how credit works section)
- To proceed with renewing your subscription(s), select the 'CHECKOUT' button.
How to remove a subscription from your package
If you want to renew some but not all of the subscriptions you hold, or you wish to purchase a new subscription without aligning your current subscription(s) we have created a step-by-step so that you can get exactly the package you want.
- Head to our homepage and log in. Please make sure that you are logged in as a member of the group you wish to purchase for.
- On the top right hand side of the page, click log in (enter email and password) and then go to 'My account'
- Please click on ‘Orders’ and then click the 'renew' button which will take you to our package builder where any existing products will be pre-selected
- You can then add any additional products you require before clicking 'Checkout'
- On the final checkout page select the White Rose Education logo in the top left then open the basket in the top right
- Remove the subscription(s) you do not wish to renew or align from the basket using the bin icon. Then select 'Update basket'
- Select 'Proceed to checkout' and check the order summary on the page
- You can then enter school details, select payment method, and place your order
Understanding how credit works
We know you might want to add our exciting new products to your current subscription before your existing licenses expire. Don’t worry—we’ve got you covered! When you do, our Package Builder will automatically credit any unused value from your current plan toward your new one. This way, you won’t lose out on any days or money you’ve already paid for.
Aligning your billing cycle
Following feedback from our users, we wanted to allow schools and individuals to manage all of their subscriptions within the same billing cycle, meaning a simplified process when you come to renew.
When you update your existing subscription by adding an additional product, your entire suite of products will now expire on the same date (the date that you check-out on your updated subscription).
Please note, if you would like to keep the billing cycle of your current White Rose subscription the same, and be billed separately for any new products you subscribe to, that's no problem at all. What are the benefits of the new package builder?
You can mix and match the premium resources you want access to as part of a single subscription, creating a tailored package suited to your needs. There are also some amazing discounts when subscribing to more than one product.
I'm not a manager; how do I update my school subscription?
You don't need to be a manager to be able to renew or add resources in your school's subscription package.
Manager access is needed to invite and remove users from the group and place orders for physical products such as workbooks.
Please do make sure you are a member of your school's group before placing an order to ensure our package builder knows to apply the appropriate discounts and credit. This also to ensures your group members all gain access to new and renewed subscriptions seamlessly.
If you're unsure whether you are a member of your school group or you'd like to become a manager on your account, head to our contact us form and one of our helpful team members will assist you further.
If you do need to contact us, please have the postcode of your school, your full name and email address you log in with to hand so we can take care of your request as quickly as possible.
What happens if I add a new product to my existing subscription?
When you add a new product to your existing subscription, the unused value of your current subscription will be applied as a credit on your new subscription. Your billing cycle for the new product(s) will then align to the current date.
I'm buying for a school; how many teachers should I select for my subscription?
The number of teachers you select in the Package Builder is the total number of teachers who need access to our content.
For example, if you want 7 teachers to access our Primary Maths resources and 5 to access our Secondary Maths resources, choose the 11 to 20 option.
I need to add more teachers to my existing school subscription; how do I do this?
If you need to add more teachers to your subscription, you can contact our Customer Care team; they'll be more than happy to help. Alternatively, you may be able to free up space on your subscription by removing users who no longer need access - read more in our help article.
How do I check the total cost of my new package?
Once you have selected all the products for your package in the Package Builder, you can review your choices and the total cost, including any discounts that have been applied, by selecting "SEE PRICE BREAKDOWN" in the bar at the bottom of your screen (see screenshot below).
What if I want to remove a product from my package?
If you've added a product to your subscription in the Package Builder, you can easily remove it by de-selecting the product card displayed or clicking on the red bin icon next to the product in the price breakdown screen (see screenshot below). If you want to remove a product you are already enrolled in mid-way through your subscription term, contact our Customer Care team to discuss your options.
Users will only be able to remove products from the package in this way where there is no current subscription held. If you wish to renew some but not all of your subscriptions see How to remove a subscription from your package
